Fried Rice
Submitted by akemi
This is a very adaptable recipe, you can pretty much throw in any meat or veggies you have in the fridge. Great way to eat leftovers.
Ingredients
- Olive oil
- Garlic, chopped
- Ginger, chopped
- Cooked rice
- Soy sauce
- 1 egg
- Veggies (mushrooms, green/red peppers, asparagus, zucchini, etc)
- Cooked meat (chicken, shrimp, steak, etc)
- Green onion, chopped
Method
- Heat olive oil in a wok on medium and add ginger and garlic. Cook for about a minute, and be careful not to burn the garlic.
- Add veggies and cook until tender.
- Add rice. Pour on soy sauce. Stir well.
- Make a whole in the center of the rice. Crack the egg into the whole. Crack the yolk and let it cook for a little while, until the bottom is set. Stir the yolk into the white until all the egg is cooked.
- Stir in pieces of meat and top with green onion. Add salt and pepper to taste.
